Baking FAIL

This (see above) is a macaroon.

This (see above) is NOT a macaroon.

Any questions?

In my defense, I do think that my recipe for macaroons was for the kind that you make little cookie sandwiches out of, and not the chewy kind that I'm used to as a Jew. Oh well.

In lieu of this baking FAIL, I made my super awesome cookie bars, and just as super awesome one-bowl brownies. :)

Besides this baking FAIL, the rest of my weekend was low-key, with a trip to Target to stock up on Halloween candy/decorations, and other fun stuff.

How was your weekend?

10 of you <3 me:

But, the question is...how do they taste? 'Cause they look a little like brownies, so I'm not seeing how they could taste bad.

My bro and I attempted to rearrange some shrubs in the flowerbeds, but one of the shrubs had a huge nest of yellowjackets under it.

Oh how I love the Halloween decorations at Target! Make sure to post pictures of you decorations when they are all put up!

hahah I applaud your attempts! I'm only good at eating baked goods. You couldn't get me in the kitchen for anything!

I love this whole "Suzy Homemaker" thing.

It makes me smile. Once Dave deploys in December and I have time, you MUST, and I mean MUST get me on board.

hey at least you tried right?

I laughed out loud at your baking fail. But as a fellow Jew, I have to say that I would far prefer Tollhouse Cookie bars orbrownies any day, so I think you're way better off :)

I saw your comment on my post - apple picking is SO fun! I've been dying to go. Do I sense another NY blogger meet up in the distance? A field trip perhaps? Ha-ha!
